Brigs' purpose is to deliver challenging adventure leadership programs on board our tall ships for youth aged 13 - 18, regardless of financial background.

Brigs is a registered charity dedicated to reducing financial barriers to adventure and personal development experiences for young people. All youth voyage fees are subsidized by 50% by fundraising, and financial assistance is available to any youth to cover part or all of the remaining fee on a needs-based basis.

Brigs also offers opportunities in the spring and fall for groups, and adults 18+, to get out on the water and experience life on a tall ship.

Living and sailing on a tall ship is mentally and physically demanding. Please read the eligibility criteria and don't hesitate to contact Brigs with questions.

Summer voyages are the core of the Brigs program.

Every summer the TS Playfair and her crew travel through the Great Lakes.

Youth 13-18 can join our crew for one of our 1-2 week long voyages to get the full experience of living and sailing on a tall ship.
